Carnival 2007 St Maarten Netherlands Antilles. From the many floats that
passed by the float of Mr. Randolph Scott made a significant impact to
all who were there. His creativity which extends from the various stage
backgrounds that he has done at the Philipsburg Cultural Center and
beyond, was used to the extreme to create this float.

On
the first picture one can see the two hearts in the front. The heart on
his right has a cupid which symbolizes love while the heart on his left
has a dove which Mr. Scott said symbolizes peace. In the second picture,
Mr. Scott craft fully designed out of paper mache (the whole float was
made out of paper mache) a part of the symbol used in the Peridot
foundation. The figure is half man and half woman. The male part shows a
stab wound to his side while the female part shows a blackened eye. Not
visible in the picture, and located to the back of the float is a house
with a hand coming out of it requesting to all who see it to stop the
violence at home and beyond.

Mr Scott is interested in going to Antigua in August to further his
message of non violence from St. Maarten. All who may be interested in
helping Mr. Scott or may want Mr. Scott to join their carnival
celebrations, can feel free to call him at 011-599-580-0151. This is the
e kind of message that every carnival celebration should have. One of
awareness, hope and unity.
The Peridot Foundation applauds Mr. Scott for taking such a wonderful,
bold and creative step to relay such an important message. Mr. Scott
from the bottom of our hearts we thank you and take our hats off to your
efforts. Keep it up and much blessings to you.
